Professional treatments that
incorporate aromatherapy not only soothe your mind,
the
can help freshen your locks, as well.
The John Masters Organics salon in New York City
uses honey and aromatic jojoba, jasmine and lavender
oils in their Shiatsu Scalp and Hair Treatment to
nourish and lightly scent each strand from root
to tip. Employing
the use of heat from an ionic standing dryer helps
the oils penetrate the hair, infusing
it with fragrance and moisture for up to two days.
According to the salon’s owner, John Masters,
"The oils used in the treatment naturally
add a subtle fragrance to the hair and the heat
helps open the hair cuticle so that the healing,
aromatic oils are completely
absorbed into the hair shaft.
